Corporate & Social Responsibility
Minimize

edge IPK takes its corporate responsibility very seriously and we work hard to ensure that we operate in a socially and environmentally acceptable manner as outlined below:

Our Employees
Our staff are critical to the success of our business and as such we have an attractive benefits package available. We also enable flexible working hours to encourage a healthy work-life balance among employees. We endeavour to ensure that all staff have a comfortable, enjoyable and stimulating working environment whilst adhering to health and safety regulations.

Charity and Fund Raising
Action for Children is our charity of choice and members of edge IPK take part in various fund raising activities to raise money for this cause. Over £10,000 will have been raised by edge IPK by the end of 2010.

This year Mike Williams, CEO and Dharmesh Mistry, CTO took part in the
Virgin London Marathon as one of the fund raising activities. The next key fund raising activity will be an edge IPK team taking part in the BUPA Great North Run which takes place on Sunday September 19th.

Anyone who would like to support the edge IPK team can do so at:

In addition to raising money for Action for Children, all staff are also encouraged to participate in a variety of fundraising activities on an individual basis for events such as the ‘
Race for Life’ supporting Breast Cancer.

Environment Policy
We aim to review our environmental policies and procedures regularly to improve our performance and quality. All employees are made aware of this policy and their responsibilities for environmental issues.

The company operates an energy conservation policy to ensure that: All non-critical equipment is switched off when not needed.

Low energy electrical equipment will be preferred for purchase

Action for Children is committed to helping the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential.

A proud heritage
We have been working with the UK’s most vulnerable and neglected children since 1869. We were originally called the National Children’s Home, or NCH, until September 2008 when we changed our name to one that better describes what we do and what we value – Action for Children.

Passionate about potential
We believe all children and young people have unique potential and that they should have the support and opportunities they need to reach it.

Action for Children helps nearly 156,000 children, young people and their families through nearly 420 projects across the UK. We also promote social justice by lobbying and campaigning for change.

Changing lives
Today, Action for Children is the leading UK provider of family and community centres, children's services in rural areas, services for disabled children and their families, and services for young people leaving care.
